That You May Believe Series – The Authentic Jesus – Session 18: Witnesses to Jesus Identity

In this sermon from John 5, the focus is on answering one critical question: who is the real Jesus? In a world filled with confusion about truth and identity, the message presents three clear witnesses that confirm who Jesus truly is. First, John the Baptist testifies as a forerunner, pointing people directly to Christ. Second, Jesus’ works—especially His miracles—serve as visible proof of His divine authority. Third, the Scriptures themselves consistently point to Jesus as the promised Messiah. The sermon emphasizes that Jesus’ claims to be equal with God demand a response, leaving no room for a neutral opinion. It also warns of the serious consequences of rejecting His identity, including misunderstanding Scripture and facing judgment. Ultimately, listeners are urged to examine the evidence, search the Scriptures, and personally respond to Jesus as Lord.
