True Spirituality: Session 3 – Sober

Finding your purpose isn't only about discovering who you are—it's also about understanding where you belong and what God has given you to do. In Romans 12, Paul shows that the transformed Christian life is meant to be lived in community with other believers.

Every Christian needs three important mindsets. First, sober thinking helps us understand who we are without thinking too highly or too little of ourselves. Second, sober unity reminds us that we belong to a local church body where every member needs the others. Third, sober service recognizes that God has given each believer spiritual gifts to serve others and strengthen the church.

If you're asking, Who am I? Where do I belong? What is my purpose? Scripture gives meaningful answers. You were never intended to sit on the sidelines of church life. God has gifted you by His grace, placed you in a body, and given you a part to play.
