That You May Believe Series: Session 36 – Adversity God Uses
What do you do when you've prayed, waited, and God still hasn't answered the way you hoped? In John 11, Mary and Martha faced that question when their brother Lazarus became sick and Jesus seemingly delayed coming to help. Their story reveals four truths for trusting God in difficult times: God uses our circumstances, God has a purpose, God has a timing, and God uses seasons of waiting to grow our faith. Jesus' delay wasn't evidence that He didn't love Lazarus and his sisters. He was accomplishing something greater than they could see. They asked Jesus for a healing; He was preparing to give them a resurrection. When you're struggling to understand God's plan, His silence does not mean His absence, and His delay does not mean He has stopped loving you. You may not understand what God is doing or why you're waiting, but you can still trust His heart, His purpose, and His timing.
