That You May Believe Series: Session 32 – Light for the Blind Man

Why does God allow suffering, pain, sickness, and loss? In John 9, Jesus encounters a man who had been blind from birth and shows that suffering is not always explained by simple cause and effect. Instead, Jesus uses the man’s blindness to reveal the works of God and display His power as the Light of the World.

When Jesus heals the blind man, the miracle does more than restore sight. It gives the man a new identity, creates a testimony, and points to the greater hope Jesus offers to everyone living under the effects of sin.

This story challenges us to trust Jesus with our suffering, live differently because He has changed us, and tell others what He has done. Jesus does not merely offer temporary relief. He offers salvation, transformation, and the ultimate hope that one day sin, sorrow, pain, and death will be gone forever.
