That You May Believe Series: Session 27 – Heart Work

Why do we keep making choices we know are wrong? The Bible gives a surprisingly honest answer: sin is pleasurable for a season, which is exactly why it is so dangerous. In John 8, Jesus encounters the woman caught in adultery and reveals both the seriousness of sin and the greatness of God's mercy. Rather than ignoring her guilt or condemning her without hope, Jesus extends forgiveness and calls her to a transformed life.

This message explores how righteous judgment begins with honest self-examination, why mercy never excuses sin, and how true forgiveness always points us toward lasting change. Whether you're struggling with guilt, searching for forgiveness, or wondering how to make wise choices instead of sinful ones, this study shows that Jesus is full of both grace and truth. Through His death and resurrection, Christ offers mercy that not only forgives our sin but also gives us the power to walk in a new direction.
