That You May Believe Series – Session 21: Bread Of Heaven
In this sermon from John 6, we explore one of Jesus’ most powerful “I Am” statements: “I am the bread of life.” After feeding thousands with five loaves and two fish, Jesus challenges the crowd to look beyond temporary satisfaction and recognize their deeper spiritual need. Physical bread can sustain life for a moment, but only Jesus can give eternal life. Drawing from the story of manna in the wilderness, Jesus reveals that He is the true bread sent from heaven — the only source of lasting fulfillment, salvation, and hope. The sermon explains how eternal life comes through believing in Jesus Christ, trusting in His death and resurrection, and receiving Him by faith. It also challenges believers not to seek Jesus merely for what He provides, but for who He truly is. Jesus alone satisfies the deepest hunger of the human soul and offers life that never ends.
